Facebook is using you

the article " Facebook is using you" by Lori Andrew talks about how the internet and social networking or even emails has ways to track down your personal information and send you ads about something you recently searched. It also talks about how jobs can search your history online, and what you've done can deter you from getting the job you want. If you think about it, it's kind of crazy how you think you have privacy on websites like Facebook, but you really don't. For example if on your facebook profile there is something about you liking a certain t.v show or a number of T.v shows then there will be ads about watching shows like that or ads for that show. I never knew that Facebook, Twitter, Emails, and websites like that were a franchising website. It's kind of weird that something that you type in your browser, can be sent to these companies who advertise, and without you even knowing it, they give you ads trying to persuade you to but these things. Most people don't click on them but obviously some people are since they are making so much money and the people that created facebook, twitter, and emails are rich.some thing amazed me in this article is the statement that was made about what you do in your life can be easily used against you, whether you can get a job, get credit, or even get insurance, can be based on your online profile, and they will never inform you why you were denied something.
